Uniforms

Grooming is important and we have a practical uniform for our dance classes. Students joining our Academy for the first time are welcome to try the class before purchasing the full uniform. In addition to the set uniform, students are expected to wear their hair in a bun for Classical classes and pulled back in a tight dance pony tail for all other classes.

The Academy Uniform Requirements

Leotards for all dance styles

Level One – Dark Purple Tank Leotard

Level Two and Three – Plum Wide Strap Leotard

Level Four and Five – Navy Wide Strap Leotard

Level Six, Seven and Eight – Black Leotard in any style to suit body shape

Classical Ballet

Level One – Dark Purple Wrap Around Skirt

All levels – Pink ballet stockings, pink ballet shoes

Jazz and Musical Theatre

All levels – Corresponding level Leotard and black lace up or slip on jazz shoes. BlackA�danceA�pants OR Black leggings OR Black bike shorts OR black dance skirt. Tan stockings to be worn under skirts or shorts. (Ballet pink are acceptable if coming directly from ballet class)

Tap

All levels – Corresponding level Leotard and tan tap shoes for Levels 1-4 and black tap shoes for levels 5-8.A�BlackA�danceA�pants OR Black leggings OR Black bike shorts OR black dance skirt. Tan stockings to be worn under skirts or shorts. (Ballet pink are acceptable if coming directly from ballet class)

Contemporary

Hip Hop

• In the cooler weather students may wear a�?cross oversa��.
• Please clearly label ALL uniform items, bags and drink bottles.
• Jazz and Tap shoes are necessary once your child has decided to continue. They are welcome to try for a few weeks in bare feet before you make a purchase.

Buying Uniforms

Students attending Jane Grech Dance Centre receive 10% discount for all purchases at Pirouettes. Please refer to the Pirouettes website www.pirouettesonline.com.au for the latest trading hours. Pirouettes are our preferred supplier and for your convenience always stock the entire JGDC range.
