FGCU under the leadership of Bob Butehorn since the program began in 2007 is now 14-3-3 while South Florida under the direction of George Kiefer out of the American Athletic Conference ends their season with a solid 10-6-4 overall record. Stanford – Stanford’s season came to an unexpected end in the NCAA Tournament when they were upset 1-0 in overtime at home for the first time in the 2014 season by an opportunistic UC Irvine team. Coach Ray Reid’s squad was ranked as the number nine team in the nation in the College Soccer News 2005 Season Ending poll. Looking ahead to the future I spoke with the Seattle Sounders Academy product and University of Washington All-American about his journey to college soccer stardom and the effect the college game and his coaches at Washington have had on him.
